Spiritual Psychology

Spiritual Psychology is the study and practice of the art and science of human evolution in consciousness. This inquiry into spiritual intelligence suggests that it is one of several types of intelligence and that it can be developed relatively independently. Spiritual intelligence calls for multiple ways of knowing and for the integration of the inner life of mind and spirit with the outer life of work in the world. It can be cultivated through questing, inquiry, and practice.

Spiritual experiences may also contribute to its development, depending on the context and means of integration. Spiritual maturity is expressed through wisdom and compassionate action in the world. Spiritual intelligence is necessary for discernment in making spiritual choices that contribute to psychological well-being and overall healthy human development.

Spiritual studies or psychology conception that we live in a spiritual Universe; that God is in, through, around and for us. There is nothing supernatural anywhere, on any plane; that which today seems to us supernatural, after it is understood will be found spontaneously natural.

In psychology where theories and external observations make for advancements, in spirituality the understanding of the mind and human behavior stems from direct observations of the mind itself. Note that psychology leans more towards spirituality than the other way around. It's also true that most of the inspiration has been drawn from Buddhism or one, they share the same aspirations when it comes to understanding the workings of the mind and human behavior. Two, the psychology camp has realized and is starting to recognize the lofty benefits of present moment awareness especially as a therapeutic tool.

Hopefully, psychology as a science will continue to open up to the healing qualities of awareness..Spirituality gives little importance to thinking and intellectualizing, instead it points to awareness as the path to insight into the nature of conscious experience. So, in order to understand the mind, the mind has to observe itself. For me both are the same just little different in approaches. Both works together. I always appreciate and welcome to share your precious experiences and views.
